OUR STORY

CR Systems, Inc. is a HUB certified and woman-owned business located in Bryan, Texas. We have been prominent in the roofing industry since 1996. Founder Rayne Knight initially became interested in roofing when she learned about a roofing system called Polyurethane Foam System. She built her reputation on delivering high-quality roofing solutions to the commercial building sector. After a few years of climbing on roofs, Rayne became known as “The Roofer Girl”.

Early in her career, Rayne met her soon-to-be business partner Raul Arellano. Rayne worked hard to estimate and sell roofs while Raul specialized in running a cohesive and efficient crew that not only got the job done on time but on budget. Rayne and Raul had a great working relationship and were both driven to be the best. They decided to join forces -- Rayne, Raul, one crew, and one truck were off to take over the roofing industry as CR Systems, Inc.

CR Systems now offers a comprehensive range of services and employs diversified teams to cater to various building needs. We ensure top-quality installations as manufacturer approved applicators for leading commercial roofing systems in the U.S., including Firestone, Carlisle, Sika Sarnafill, Versico, and Soprema. Our expertise extends beyond new roof installations. We also specialize in roof restoration systems, metal fabrication, waterproofing buildings, insurance assistance, and maintenance/budget planning. CR Systems operates across the entire state of Texas, and has an impressive portfolio of completed projects, including the restoration of every metal roof for McCoy’s Building Supply statewide. But we place a particular emphasis on serving the Brazos Valley. Some of our local projects include Brenham City Hall, Bryan City Hall, multiple buildings at Prairie View A&M University, and over 40 new roofs installed at Texas A&M University – including Reed Arena.

After several years and much success in the commercial roofing sector, Rayne and Raul recognized a need for residential roofers in the Brazos Valley. They saw an opportunity to serve their community and launched Aggieland Roofing in 2018. With their extensive experience in commercial roofing, the transition to residential roofing was a natural next step. Like CR Systems, Aggieland Roofing quickly established a reputation as reliable and dedicated to the highest quality products and installation.

Rayne Knight-Zingelmann

PRESIDENT

Rayne Knight-Zingelmann is the founder and President of CR Systems, Inc., a commercial roofing company providing energy efficient roofing solutions for the greater Central Texas area. Rayne holds a BA in Animal Science from Texas A&M University, class of ‘90. She went to A&M on a Home Builders Scholarship and it did not take her long after college to return to her construction background. She founded CR Systems in 1996 and has served the roofing industry since. Over time she was given the name ‘The Roofer Girl’ and she has proudly made it her motto. Her husband is also a former student class of ‘86 with a BA in Finance and he has helped grow the business. Rayne has been honored as an Aggie 100 winner for five years in a row. Rayne has served on the Better Business Bureau Board of Directors and the BCS Chamber of Commerce.

Raul Arellano

VICE PRESIDENT

Raul Arellano, co-founder, has been involved in the roofing industry since 1997. Raul grew up in South Texas and has traveled the United States managing roofing crews. Raul started in the field and quickly was promoted because of his leadership and his ability to get a roof completed on time and on budget. In his “off time”, which is rare, Raul focuses on his family. Him and his high school sweetheart, Jessica, have four children and they focused on giving them the brightest futures. They are huge supporters of Special Olympics, and support their son in the activities he competes in. They also spend time supporting a local scholarship program for the young Hispanic community called The Hispanic Forum.
